The next day, on saturday, Ellis and I planned to go to London with the UK Study Tours. We had to meet at 8.30 at the Brighton Station to head to London Victoria by train. Our tour guide was a really nice Scottish man from around the age of 60-70, who teaches Arabic on the university of Brighton. When we arrived at London Victoria, we got directly to Buckingham Palace where we had a little moment to take pictures. After Buckingham Palace we continued through the park towards the horse guard (or something like that), where we saw guards on horses and the changing of the guards. When walking towards the Big Ben and the place where Prince William and Kate were married, the memorial of the Belgian War fighters came by. Since the weather was really nice in London it was really crowded which made it even warmer. When we saw the church and the Big Ben we continued to the Thames and the London Eye. At 12 we continued to the Trafalgar squire where we had the chance to have 'free' time and Ellis and me decided to go shopping at Oxford and Regent street which was really nice, although it was really crowded. Around 3 pm Ellis and I were already back at the Trafalgar squire and decided to lay down at the spare space of grass and have a drink. At 5.30 we had to meet our Tour guide again to walk back to London Victoria. We were back in Brighton at 8 pm and got to the city centre to eat dinner. While walking through the station I saw Alfie - from the YouTube channel Pointlessblog - buying a ticket and since I really like his videos and watch them almost every day I decided to talk to him and ask him if I could take a picture with him. I was really excited and really happy to meet him and he was so nice and sweet in real.
On sunday Ellis and I travelled to Bath and Stonehenge with the same organisation, but this time by bus. We had a bus trip of 3 hours to get to Bath and came along Windsor castle during this trip. Once in Bath, the tour guide, who was not that nice and you could consider comparing him to the tourguide in the movie Monte Carlo - staring Selena Gomez. Ellis and I were laughing all the time because we just felt that we were in this movie. The tourguide was walking really fast and let us just have 1 minute to take pictures and walk around the place. Bath is really nice though, it feels like your 100 years back in time. The buildings are all build with the 'Bath Stone' which is really nice and gives the city a very unique atmosphere. When we had a look around Bath and had some free time (1 hour) we continued to the Stonehenge by bus. This was another ride of almost 1,5 hour! When we finally got there, we got in a shuttle bus and looked around the Stonehenge and took some pictures for 10 minutes. The place was really crowded and you couldn't get too close to the Stonehenge which made it even more difficult to really see anything. Therefore Ellis and I decided to have a walk in the nature around the place. That was one of the best decisions, since the place around the Stonehenge was absolutely beautiful. When we got back to the centre we almost directly had to go back to the bus to drive all the way back to Brighton which took us over 4 hours. The bus ride was really fun since we had a lot of traffic jams which made it real fun to interract with cars passing by (especially british boys) haha!
That was my weekend and I'll update you about my second week soon!
